Improvements are coming to the Lakeside Playground on Tooting Commons.
Following two phases of community engagement, a final design has been developed that reflects local feedback and provides inclusive play opportunities for children of different ages and abilities.
The wildlife-inspired design was shaped through two phases of community engagement and will provide a varied mix of inclusive play opportunities for children of different ages and abilities.
In the first few weeks of construction, a select number of parking bays in the nearby Dr Johnson Avenue car park will be used for deliveries. We will provide further information in the coming weeks. Visitors should take extra care in the area and be aware of construction vehicles entering and leaving. Temporary signage will be installed around the playground and car park.
While the Lakeside Playground is closed, families can use:
• Tooting Triangle Playground (approx. 12-minute walk)
• Furzedown Recreation Ground Playground (approx. 18-minute walk)
Further updates will be provided as the project progresses and Enable confirm the reopening date once the construction programme is nearing completion.
